NMA Positions & Advocacy

The National Mining Association represents U.S. mining before Congress, the administration, federal agencies, the judiciary and the media. Focusing on policymaking, regulatory and permitting matters, as well as litigation, NMA's strategic positions amplify the voice of the American mining community—and its current and future business needs.

To help further our mission, NMA currently organizes The Advocacy Campaign Team (ACT) for Mining, an online national network of more than 350,00 supporters promoting the energy, economic and security benefits of domestic mining. NMA  sponsors Mine the Vote, a comprehensive guide to congressional and presidential elections,  with information on candidates’ positions on mining as well as voter registration and other information.
