Mine Rescue Handbook

This mine rescue handbook, developed by the U.S. coal industry, under the auspices of the Bituminous Coal Operators’ Association and the National Mining Association and in conjunction with representatives of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Mine Safety and Health Administration and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, can serve as a guide for those developing mine rescue protocols and procedures as well as a review tool for those who have established procedures in place.
